8 Video Game Sequels You Didn’t Know Are Coming In 2019

1. Payday 3

Overkill

Another entry in Overkill Software’s heist-em-up series Payday is in the early stages of development, but the studio has made it clear that it won't be surfacing anytime soon.

Parent company Starbreeze Studios officially announced Payday 3 during its year-end financial report back in February, but as good as confirmed it won't be arriving in 2018, making a 2019 debut a safe bet.

Payday 2 has been around for a good while, launching all the way back in August 2013, but Overkill has kept the experience fresh by drip-feeding DLC content over the years, including cool John Wick-themed expansion packs.

The studio has confirmed that the current game will be supported for the foreseeable future, though no doubt it's juggling content updates with development work on Payday 3.

What form the threequel will take is yet to be confirmed, but VR support is almost a given since Starbreeze has prioritised this sector as one of its areas of interest going forward.
