9 Most Useful Items In The Legend Of Zelda Games

7. The Climbing Gear From Breath Of The Wild

Zelda Items

The newest installment in the ‘Zelda’ series sets Link in an open world that is anything but restricting. The game allows Link to climb any rock face in an attempt to get to his destination in a more direct path. With that said, Link can’t climb rock faces for free. It requires a type of currency that isn’t all that new to the ‘Zelda series, stamina.

When Link is climbing a particularly tall rock face, the stamina gauge turns into the player’s real enemy. There is no greater feeling of defeat in ‘Breath of the Wild’ than getting a few feet away from the apex of a cliff, making one last push to get to the top, only to miss by mere inches and fall down to the very bottom of the rock.

The Climbing Gear is a necessity in ‘Breath of the Wild’ as it not only increases Link’s climbing speed but also increases his stamina while climbing. The Climbing Gear allows Link to scale mountain peaks that caused fits of rage before. What’s even better is the Climbing Gear isn’t the only item that helps with this, as the Climbing Gear is actually part of a set. Each additional piece in the Climbing Set that Link finds adds even more speed to his climbs while increasing his climbing stamina.
