9 New Video Games To Look Out For In June 2017

7. ARMS

What Is It?

Nintendo's newest take on the fighting game genre, ARMS, gives the Switch library a much-needed shot in the arm when it launches this summer.

ARMS hosts a bevy of ways to play, with a roster of ten colourful fighters, countless arm extension customizations, and a wide variety of game modes. It courts a competitive crowd with ranked matchmaking while keeping things breezy for casual players with dodgeball, basketball, and 4-player tag battles. Nintendo's so sure of ARMS becoming a competitive scene, they're even hosting an invitational tournament at E3.

The developers have promised to keep the content flowing with free new maps, characters, and weapons to keep players coming back for more. If you've got a Switch, ARMS is certainly one of the most unique experiences on the console yet - but it remains to be seen if ARMS will gain enough traction to earn a competitive fanbase.

When It's Out

ARMS launches 16 June for the Nintendo Switch.
