9 Times Video Games Eerily Predicted The Future‏

7. Perfect Dark Foresaw A Black President

There's a lot in Rare's first-person shooter for the Nintendo 64 that has yet to come to pass. Depending on who you ask, at least, but we're still pretty sure that wisecracking aliens have yet to visit Earth to hang out in Area 51 and gush about how much they love human culture. Also they probably wouldn't be called Elvis. That doesn't mean we should totally discount Perfect Dark's ability to predict the future, though. Especially because it was Joanna Dark who foretold of the coming of Barack Obama. Well, not Obama specifically, but the game does involve a level where the secret agent Joanna Dark has to rescue a fictional US president from, ahem, the NSA, by getting him safely to his escape pod and blasting him off of Air Force One. Also the president is black. Pretty progressive for a videogame from 2000! Although it was set in 2023, meaning they possibly weren't expecting the likes of Obama for another decade...
