The gaming industry can be a truly brilliant thing. Have you ever stopped to think of just how much interactive entertainment your favourite developers have given you over the course of your gaming life? Probably not, but that's only because you're far too busy planning the perfect RPG build or engaging your brain to enter that next team deathmatch better equipped than everybody else. When we really sit down to think about it, the worldwide gaming industry is probably healthier than it has ever been. Large developers are able to call on the successes of immensely popular franchises year after year, while even independent companies can make their games available to huge audiences through platforms like Steam or crowd-funders like Kickstarter. There's something out there for every 21st Century gamer, or probably even plenty of somethings depending on your preferences. However, it's not all sunshine and roses. It seems that for all of the wonderful titles being released these days, there are just as many niggling doubts about the behaviour of some of our favourite developers. Certain companies are gathering some pretty terrible reputations in spite of the great games they produce on a yearly basis - you've seen them mentioned across countless forums and all over the blogosphere - and it's led to 10 major ways it feels like the gaming industry is literally trolling us all.
