It's turning into a fine week for AJ Styles. Hot off the heels of putting Shinsuke Nakamura away in last night's WWE Title match at Money in the Bank, the Phenomenal One has today been revealed as the latest cover star for 2K Games long-running series of video games.

The newest edition in the franchise, WWE 2K19, will feature Georgia's finest front and centre, poised ready for combat in his trademark crossed-hands pose. Styles was unveiled during a press conference earlier today, during which a number of other details about the game were detailed.

The WWE Champion, present at the event, noted what an honour it is to be featured so prominently:

“As a hardcore gamer and ambassador of everything it means to ‘Never Say Never’ in both my professional and personal life, it is a dream come true to be selected as the WWE 2K19 cover Superstar.”

AJ follows in the footsteps of a very tasty group of esteemed individuals to adorn the franchises' boxes, including The Rock, Steve Austin, John Cena, and last year's chosen one, Seth Rollins.

2K also announced the WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge, a competition which gives players the opportunity to win a cool million bucks by beating Styles himself at the game.

WWE 2K19 is scheduled for an October 2018 release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version has not been announced at present. Check back for more details as they emerge.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
