Assassin's Creed IV: 3 Reasons You Shouldn't Give Up On It Yet

3. AC Games Are Both Great And Original

Black Flag For some odd reason, people are actually starting to believe the AC franchise is turning into CoD, so it's prudent to see if that claim holds any weight. If we judge both franchises (I'm starting with CoD4:MW by the way) as entries, the weak/bad games in each franchise are a matter for debate. If we judge them on the terms of solely being a game, none of them are bad. The AC franchise of course is better than CoD, if not just for the story alone. CoD's campaigns are honestly pretty good, but they suffer from being short and rather predictable in their layouts. As for the multi-player, it pales in comparison to AC just because of the community and lack of polish and effort. There is also another reason the Assassin's Creed franchise don't deserve the bashing it gets: the Battlefield franchise. Now that has nothing to do with AC games but everything with CoD: if you go on YouTube and search CoD related videos, you will find many debates about which franchise is better (Halo also pops up from time to time.) Now let's examine the comparisons to Assassin's Creed - well, frankly, there are none. That boils down to its originality and while CoD will always face legitimate comparisons, the Assassin's Creed franchise won't. Counter-Argument: Even if the AC games are original, it all comes down to a matter of taste and you might just not like them. Also, while its multi-player is polished and shows sign of effort, it can become boring very fast unless you are a master at it.
