Assassin's Creed: Victory - 10 Locations Far Better Than London

Victorian England versus feudal Japan? No contest.

Love it or hate it, the Assassin's Creed series is here to stay. Although often derided for its 'game every year' mentality, the AC series still continues to be among the best selling franchises out there, with plenty of fans lapping up the latest historical romp every holiday season. There's been some hits and some misses along the way, but this series has almost limitless potential given the appropriate care. It may have a convoluted and confusing plot that seems to be going nowhere fast, but adventuring through historical time periods appears to be enough to keep plenty peoples' interest for the time being. In AC, history is your playground after all, opening up the possibilities to far more than just Westernised cities. Everything from the time of the dinosaurs to ancient, forgotten civilisations and futuristic cities in the sky with flying cars and hologram-hidden blades are fair game here; the developers have an almost unparalleled pool of resources to tap into and base a game on. But what historical periods should be explored next? With a trip to Victorian London on the way next in this year's Assassin's Creed: Victory, where do Ubisoft go from there? These are 10 awesome places that feel ripe to explore, climb on and leap into suspiciously-placed haystacks all (hopefully) in the near future. Spoilers for the entire Assassin's Creed franchise follow.
