Avengers Video Game: 12 Essential Features It Must Have

How to make Earth's mightiest computer game.

With the sequel to Joss Whedon's monster hit film Avengers due out next year, talk has turned to the inevitable; video game tie-ins. Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will be just as big as its predecessor, if not bigger, so some form of tie-ins are bound to be popping up even more as we get closer to release. Whether the proposed Avengers game that TQ Jefferson, vice president of games production over at Marvel, speaks of will hit in time for the film is unclear. What is clear, however, is that they want to do it right. Jefferson spoke about wanting to find the right developer, avoiding churning out the mediocre film-based titles that have harmed their reputation in the past, including the Iron Man and Captain America games. Marvel wants a AAA-title with the best team working on it, regardless of how long it takes. It's a good sign to hear that they aren't rushing into it, promising a title that lives up to the lofty expectations of playing as Earth's Mightiest Heroes in a video game. It's an ambitious goal, as team-based games have ranged from fantastic to just plain terrible, and superhero games have an even more unstable reputation. With Marvel's commitment to make an Avengers game that lives up to the hype, and so many potential developers out there who could bring it to life, it's going to make the next several months very interesting. Here are 12 essential features that the Avengers video game absolutely must have.
