Batman: Arkham Insurgency - 15 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know

13. It'll Use The Arkham Knight Game Engine

It must be damn easy being WB Montreal at times - first they get given the buildings and overall city framework from Arkham City to help create the foundation for Arkham Origins, and now after Rocksteady wowed the world with their gorgeous Arkham Knight engine, it's coming across to Insurgency, too.

To be fair, there was a lingering question as to if WB Montreal could even create a game that would live up to the visual punch of Rocksteady's final entry, but at least with this idea of sharing software between the two developers, we should see a continuation of that established art style.

If all of that got you wondering as to how a developer can adapt to another studio's code and run with it, Arkham Insurgency has apparently been in development since 2014 (the year before Arkham Knight was released), allowing crossover in dev schedules, and hopefully, the ability for WB Montreal to use Rocksteady's engine to best effect.
