Batman: Arkham Knight - 8 Essential Things It Must Fix From City

Because bigger isn't always better.

We were all pretty disheartened when Rocksteady€™s final instalment in their critically-acclaimed Arkham trilogy got pushed back to next year - it just can€™t come soon enough, as Warner Bros€™ Batman: Arkham Origins was a colossal disappointment when it released last year. In fact, Batman fans are still trying to wash the dirty taste it left in their mouths, and there€™s no better cure for that than a slice of awesome, next-gen Metroid-vania goodness courtesy of Rocksteady. Batman: Arkham Asylum wowed the gaming world with its incredible gameplay that made us all genuinely feel like we were the omniscient caped crusader... with abandonment issues. It was an amazing game, but it€™s easy to impress when your audience has little to no expectations. Consequently when its sequel Arkham City released it was hyped by just about everyone and inevitably some people ended up disappointed. It was certainly a bigger game than its predecessor, but it felt bloated and unfocused at times. Let€™s face it - Rocksteady basically had us when they revealed that the Batmobile is in Arkham Knight, but as awesome as that will undoubtedly be, it won€™t be enough to sustain the lengthy campaign alone. We€™re hoping that Rocksteady tweak the formula from the last part of their trilogy to fix some of the issues that ruined Arkham City for some people.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
