Batman: Arkham Knight - 8 Reasons It Should End The Franchise

6. Gotham City Can't Get Any Better

Have you seen the Arkham Knight version of Gotham City? Holy fully-realised city Batman! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0cTlQGZbiQ#t=36 There's nothing left to add, take away or refine, it's the perfect version of the smoggy, perpetually-encased in nighttime home of crime Batman was born in. Whilst the idea of using this newer, more fleshed-out version of Gotham and filling it full of objectives and side-quests with pedestrians that need saving and criminal-heists that need stopping Spider-Man 2-style is definitely an enticing one, Rocksteady's decision to take the humanity out of the streets and let the city speak for itself is bold one that cements this instalment in the series. With Arkham Asylum still being quite the looker today upon reflection, one of the statistics being thrown about for Knight is that Asylum's world fits into that of the latter twenty times, which is a damn fine statistic right off the bat (pun intended), but also means that there's nothing left for Rocksteady to do other than reuse the same art-assets and run them into the ground with any future release.
