Man, it feels good to have Batman game to talk about again. And what a game it is - Telltale look to be delving into some pretty unique territory by letting us play as Bruce Wayne more than ever, extrapolating on Batman's early-goings by focusing on his unique transition between 'playboy billionaire' and watchful guardian of Gotham.

If you're unfamiliar with their work, Telltale have been making narrative-focussed, choice-driven games for years, but really came into their own with 2012's The Walking Dead; an exemplary story of consequence with real depth and intricate character building.

Now they're turning their hand to Batman, and by delving into the actual minutia of Bruce Wayne, you'll have to juggle ritzy gala appearances and speeches with knocking the criminal underworld's teeth out.

Whilst Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy highlighted the man under the mask better than anything else off the page so far, the first full trailer for what Telltale have been working on is absolutely stuffed with potential.

Let's pick it apart, and sound off in the comments what you make of their take on the Bat.

20. Gotham At Night - Exactly How It Should Be

Telltale

Sorry, Dark Knight Rises, but Gotham feels more like the seedy miasma of crime and destitute it needs to be when bathed in moonlight.

Immediately there's a sense of Batman's literary origins in the opening shot; a feeling of foreboding as the skyline is dominated by Wayne Tower. It's the perfect way to set the scene, pulling from a number of established sources such as Rocksteady's Arkham titles and the ace Animated Series (more on that later).

Looking across the trailer overall it seems that daylight is used sparingly, with one particular shot showing Bruce conversing with Vicki Vale as the sun rises - a cool aesthetic idea that further separates the dualism of Wayne both in and out of costume.
