According to DICE, Battlefield 3 beta will be released next week on September 29th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. If you were one of the few who pre-ordered the game on Origin or purchased Medal of Honor’s Limited Edition last year, you will get access to the beta two days early on September 27th. According to the information given there will be no level cap for the beta, and October 10th will be the last day the beta runs in North America, South America, Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
A DICE representative had this to say:
“The beta is not final software and updates will be done both to the game and to the back-end prior to the Battlefield 3 launch, Your participation will still help us improve the final game. We are still fine tuning the ranking system and we don’t want to give beta players an unfair advantage when Battlefield 3 launches, You will keep your soldier name, though.”
Will you be downloading the beta or are you going to skip it and wait for the release of Battlefield 3?
Release Date: US October 25th, EU October 28

Hell yeah!! i will be downloading the beta
DICE representive had this to say, “we dont want to give beta players a unfair advantage when battlefield 3 launches”. This means your achievements in the beta will not carry over to when the actual game is released. Well All that fair play go’s out the friging window as its released 3 days earlier in north america than in Europe So quit the BS there is already going to be an unfair advantage. Release it at the God damn same time.
Good point John. But any who, can’t wait to play it!
@john yes. that is true and annoys the hell outta me aswell. but the euorpe and american servers never meet in play?
it is annoying though. considering that the game is being developed in europe , you’d have though we would have got it first.i hate america.
True but you can choose any server to play on from anywhere in the world. It does give Americans an unfair advantage of the Europeans but i’m not too bothered. I just want to enjoy the game instead of focussing on ranking up as if it’s a race.
@john, i agree with you aswell, but the reason they dont do so is because its EA, im sure if it was just dice we would get it alot sooner than amercia.
Yeah i am really looking forward for the game but it just doesnt make sense, why not just release it in Europe and the US on the 25th??? i would like to know why its released 3days later here in Europe.
