Battlefield 5 Battle Royale: Everything We Know So Far

3. Vehicles, Parachutes, Fortifications And More

This is where things start to get interesting. DICE have repeatedly spoken about creating a Battle Royale mode in the Battlefield style, so Firestorm will include all of the things that have made this franchise so popular over the years. This means that destructible environments and vehicles will play a big role in Firestorm, with tanks and transport vehicles being spotted in the trailers so far.

As with other Battle Royale game modes, weapons will also be dotted around the map too, and we have to expect that plenty of anti-tank weaponry will need to be included in order to balance out the threat of the armoured vehicles. Parachute drop-ins haven't been confirmed but have been seen in other modes so will probably be included in Firestorm too.

Other gameplay trailers have shown features that have not yet been confirmed to be a part of Firestorm, but almost definitely will be. For example, the ability to revive downed teammates should be part of the mode, and the new building mechanics like the ability to construct sandbag fortifications and barbed wire barriers could play a huge role in Firestorm in the same way that building is such a big part of Fortnite.
