One of the worst kept secrets in the video game industry is the development of Borderlands 2, but now we may finally have confirmation of the game's release. Eurogamer has confirmed that the game is indeed in development, and that it will be released next year. Gearbox the makers of Borderlands have been very open about how well the first game did and how they would like to revisit the series, so this rumor should come as no surprise. Gearbox Head Randy Pitchford:
"I can tell you that myself and everyone at Gearbox LOVES Borderlands and we have been absolutely thrilled at the reception it's gotten from our customers and the fact that it's sold over four million units now,"
The original Borderlands was one of my favorite games of the past two years and I can't wait until the sequel is released. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the increasing of weapons strength as the game progresses; my only problem with the original Borderlands was towards the end of the game the weapon strength levels off. You would end up finding the strongest gun in the game slightly past the half way point, so it made searching through guns later in the game tedious because you had already had the best weapons. What would you like to see in implemented in Borderlands 2?
