Borderlands 2 - Playing With Krieg The Psycho Bandit Spoilers

Borderlands-2-Krieg Hello Vault Hunters. Not so long ago, I got to get my hands on a revamped Borderlands 2 experience. I did get to play with the newly announced Tiny Tina's Assault On Dragon Keep DLC but more on that soon. This week I bring you Krieg, the new DLC character that is hitting next week on May 14th. Many of you who have played Borderlands 2, may well have played it to death. The game has a way of bleeding hours out of you and if you are a fan, you may well have clocked in a couple hundred hours or so and may feel like you have played the game for all its worth. Don't worry though, Gearbox has got you covered. Adding a whole new character may finally be that reason you have been looking for to play through the game again, and let me tell you, you would not be left wanting for fun. Krieg is a Psycho Bandit. His name is pretty apt. There is certain;y something fairly chaotic about him that no other class in the game has seen so far. While often in the game your focus is on guns and playing at various different speeds, Krieg is nuts. He has a heavy melee focus, using his trusty buzzsaw, pipe based thingy-ma-jigger to batter through enemies and cause high levels of damage. In fact, that is the name of the game with Krieg. He has three skill trees that each grant different abilities which give you the choice of Bloodlust, Mania and Hellborn. Bloodlust will give Krieg a ton of specific perks the more melee damage he uses, Mania increases his damage output while he is taking damage and Hellborn is for the pyromaniacs as it gives Krieg all kinds of bonuses while he is on fire. The main point of all this is to make sure that you are in the thick of the action and tearing through enemies while the rest of your friends look on bewildered and confused. What each specific perk is doing at any one time and how to balance each of those out could get complicated quickly, but it is only because you are trying to organise the madness. When it comes down to it, the basics stand with Krieg, get close, take damage, set on fire, hit stuff. There are few bells and whistles with the character and you may find the class a little jarring if you prefer to use a sniper or plan your attacks. Krieg certainly isn't for the player who likes to think their way out of a situation. It is very much for the player who wants to smash in someones face gleefully before setting yourself on fire. There has never been anything quite so primal in the Borderlands playable catalogue, and for that alone, it makes Krieg a rather unique experience. You can start tearing things up with Krieg on May 14th. That's not long.
