Some say the divine rulers of Hyrule are the three goddesses who gifted the world with the Triforce that keeps the balance of the universe intact. These people are wrong, as the only true god of Breath Of The Wild is the almighty, all knowing, all deciding stamina meter.

The minute this thing runs out, whatever you were doing, well, you ain't doing it no more.

Whether it's running, climbing, or in this case, swimming, if this green bar says you're done, you're done - which the game takes to a very unnecessary extreme when swimming. If the stamina meter runs out before you reach the shore, even if you are officially in the shallow end, Link's feet will presumably just turn into lead weights and he will immediately be dragged down to his demise.

Now, we are not ones to question the great stamina wheel - may his rule be eternal and may his never-ending cycle be stained in the blood of heretics - but surely there's a better way to handle this? One potential solution is to have the wheel flash bright red when you run out in a body of water, but giving you precious seconds to - hopefully - make it to shore.
