Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Stunning Trailer Revealed

It was going to take something special to make the tired military shooter feel fresh again, but damn if they haven't knocked it out the park.

How do you get the world to sit up and take notice of an annual franchise? Two words: Kevin Spacey. Check out the teaser trailer that's just hit the web and feel your jaw hit the floor all over again, no wonder how hard you might want to fight it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFu5qXMuaJU Fresh from his highly-acclaimed role on Netflix behemoth House Of Cards, Spacey is in full-on monologue-mode, with his legendary tone cast over the reveal trailer as all hell breaks loose underneath. Of course we've seen this many, many times before, but this time round there's a pretty nifty inclusion of some mechanised suits, allowing for super high jumps and (we'd bet) a whole other range of possibilities in combat. It seems developer Sledgehammer Games have found a way to inject some much-needed life into the standard military shooter mould, and we can but hope that there's not too much crossover between this and the likes of Titanfall; a game that is already pioneering this angle to varying degrees of success. Speaking of developers, Advanced Warfare is the first title to be headed up solely by Sledgehammer Games; an initially fledgling studio who ended up co-developing Modern Warfare 3 back in 2011. Hopefully with some fresh hands grabbing hold of the reigns this year, and the current mandate being a solely next-gen experience in terms of platform exclusivity, we can only speculate as to what killer features they're going to be including alongside what we can glean from the trailer; which is enhanced Predator-style vision modes, invisible cloaking devices and The Matrix-esque highway chases on the roofs of moving cars. Where do we sign up? What do you guys think? More of the same, or do you see some promise and innovation?
