3. Psycho Returns
One of my favourite characters from the entire Crysis mythology is Michael Sykes aka Psycho, the foul-mouthed British SAS soldier who appears sporadically throughout the first Crysis game, and is the protagonist of the spin-off Crysis: Warhead. Clearly recognising the popularity of the character, he appears prominently throughout the third game, giving him easily his most significant storyline contributions as the leader of a resistance team in New York. To say more than that would be to ruin some of the game's loopier moments, but needless to say, Psycho ends up living up to his name. Like Prophet, far more effort has been put into developing his character this time, meaning that we actually care what happens and how his relationship with Prophet develops over the course of the game.
