Dark Souls Exclusive PC Content Coming to Consoles

Dark Souls coming to Steam and extra content will be available to console users.

Namco Bandai had a couple of announcements that should make all Dark Souls fans happy. First is that the extra content that will be available to PC users when Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition the game is released this August and will be made available to console fans later this year. The content Artorias of the Abyss adds:
"more explorable areas, bosses and standard enemy types, non-player characters, armor and weapons"
The extra DLC will be available in North America sometime this winter for 1200 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 or $15 (US) on the PS3. The PC version Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be available on August 24 in North America and a retail version of the game will be released the same day in Europe. The other big news is that PC users will be happy to know that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be released on Steam as well as Games for Windows. The game was initially suppose to be released only on Games for Windows, but another online petition got Namco Bandai's attention and the company has decided to release the game on Steam. No exact release date has been announced but it should be in the near future.
