Dead Island 2: 10 Past Mistakes It Must Fix

The sequel to one of the most divisive games in history - can it possibly deliver?

Dead Island was a game that seemed to come out of nowhere, taking the gaming world by storm with an incredibly moving CG trailer that showed the death of a family in reverse. It was heavy stuff, and was likely the key in allowing the game to be as successful as it was. It was so successful in fact, that it has started its own franchise and we are anxiously awaiting the release of Dead Island 2 next year. While Dead Island Riptide was somewhat buggy and lacking polish, it seems like Dead Island 2 is on course to remedy all the issues found within Riptide. Backed by a brand new development team in Yager and a whole new setting in southern California, Dead Island 2 is looking to continue the tradition of zombie killing madness. But before we start booking our flight to Los Angeles and sharpening our machete, let's take a step back and realise that Dead Island had a lot of obvious flaws that prevented it from reaching its highest potential. It's a massively fun time to be had, but there were more than a few lingering issues that Yager is going to have to fix in order to make Dead Island 2 the sequel it needs to be. So slice open that next button with your electrified cleaver, and we'll take a look at 10 things that need to be fixed in Dead Island 2.
