9. Virtua Fighter Guest Character Appearances
When the trailer that announced Akira would be a guest character in
Dead Or Alive 5 was shown, the fighting community rejoiced. For
Dead Or Alive fans, it will give them a chance to mess around with characters from the original 3D fighting game,
Virtua Fighter. That of course includes the high technicality that accompanies those characters. For
Virtua Fighter fans, is allows them a nice entry point into the
Dead Or Alive series. While
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown was recently released, it is based on the old
Virtua Fighter 5 engine.
VF fans can thus expect a flashier representation of the
VF characters in the new
DOA too. So how many
VF characters are in
DOA 5? We already know Akira and Sarah have been included, but if you take a closer look at a recently released video from
Team NINJAhere, at the end of the video with the
DOA 5 logo, you see a third name crop up representing the
VF series: Pai. Now, this won't surprise those who saw a leaked character list from the Alpha Demo, but as no word had been officially announced on Pai appearing, perhaps we can all now rest easy that she will appear in the game! *UPDATE - As I was writing this article,
