9. Tanks And Soldiers
Guillermo Del Toro's character takes shelter beside the tunnel entrance as rumbling is heard from above. We see a tank roll over the bridge, covered in bones and entrails. The tank appears to be an old model from the World War 2 period also, which continues the themes in both trailers of sci-fi and older technology being present in the game world. The tank appears to be very rusted and corroded - and almost like it's 'bleeding' oil.
From the back of the tank a thick cable (or 'strand') is trailing, towards the soldiers marching in tow. Later in the trailer, Mads Mikkelsen's character seems to have a link to his soldiers this way.
Between the organic matter on the hull, the 'bleeding', and the cable to the soldiers - this tank almost seems like it's alive.
