Destiny: 9 Reasons Even Hardcore Players Are Giving Up

Those exotic armour plates are collecting dust.

What a marmite game Destiny has proved to be since its release in September 2014. There are many guardians who have played it every day since, and many others who hung up their uncommon boots before they managed to feel the pain of getting ascendant shards from a legendary engram.

Those who made it through the initial grind experienced the best of the content though, with the 'Vault of Glass' raid being the pick of the bunch. Completing the Nightfall and landing your first exotic were immense feelings at the time, but now they're distant memories.

Since the release of The Dark Below in December, Destiny seemed like it was worth playing again to those who forked out the $35/£35 (great conversion rate, right?), but now five months later with the content becoming prematurely stale, there's nothing left to do.

Hardened players will more than likely have all of the exotics, replayed the same Nightfall numerous times in the past few months and completed the same bounty over and over again. There seemed like more chance of winning the lottery than seeing that steel-book Destiny case collect more dust than say, Lords of The Fallen - but plenty players have left their level 32 Hunter, Titan and Warlock to rot in the shadows of orbit.

How have you found the post-release story of Destiny so far? Let us know in the comments what you think, and which of these you agree/disagree on.

9. Too Many Ways To "Cheese"

Ah, cheesing. It felt like a godsend at first, as some guardians struggled to get past certain areas, mainly because it was too hard and they had no idea what they were doing.

However, even when Bungie thought they'd managed to patch them all, some clever-clogs out there finds new cheeses within a day - and it contributes to making the game very boring.

Finding a group who want to do the whole of Crota's End on Destiny LFG is near impossible. Standing still while someone solos the intro, killing yourself (in-game of course) while people climb as high as they can at the bridge section to de-spawn the enemies, to then only work as a team for the last part? It defeats the point of a "challenging mission that requires teamwork" right off the bat.

Bungie need to crack down on this stuff, as it quashes the experience and intensity of missions when people basically glitch through the whole thing.
