DRAGON AGE Multiplayer Coming?

This will supposedly be running off DICE's Frostbite 2 game engine that is used for Battlefield 3.

A rumor is circulating around today that Dragon Age will be getting multiplayer in the future. This will supposedly be running off DICE's Frostbite 2 game engine that is used for Battlefield 3. The multiplayer will feature arena style gameplay, with player versus player elements as well as player versus environment (not much is known about this feature). In addition, dragons will be playable in the multiplayer mode, so you will also have humans versus dragons in multiplayer mode as well. It is unknown at this time whether this Dragon Age multiplayer will be a standalone game, a downloadable game, or just part of Dragon Age 3. Now I know Dragon Age having multiplayer may sound a little on the crazy side, but some of Bioware's most famous games have had great multiplayer like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. It will be interesting to see if Bioware is returning the Dragon Age franchise to their roots as a dungeon crawling game like Baldur's Gate. How many of you were fans of Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights multiplayer and would you like to see some form of that return in Dragon Age?

I have been playing video games all my life but not only that I enjoy discussing them just as much as I love playing them. Therefore after going through college to get a criminal justice degree I became a freelance video game writer.
