E3 2012: Quick EA Press Conference Recap

EA E3 press conference recap.

EA also debuted the new gameplay footage from Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which I have to say looked much better than Medal of Honor 2010. The game will put you in the shoes of soldiers all over the world; for the purposes of the demo EA only showed off Somalia. The game is running on the Frostbite 2 engine, and the multiplayer will contain €œ12 different tier one units from 10 different nations.€ The game is scheduled to be released on October 23 of this year. Next Bioware came out and announced a bunch of content that will be coming out for Star Wars: The Old Republic; but the surprise announcement was that sometime in July Star Wars: The Old Republic will go free to play up to level 15. Also EA announce a long term deal with UFC President Dana White, where all UFC games made in the future will be made by EA. The licence was previously held by THQ and back in 2009 you will remeber Dana White had this to say about EA: "EA doesn't give f**k about mixed martial arts. They made that very clear". Crysis 3 was also shown off during the press conference and it of course looks amazing, plus now it is confirmed that the game will be released sometime in February of 2013. Which is interesting because February is also when Dead Space 3 is being released, usually you want to spread those high profile games out but I guess not in this case. Finally EA debuted Need for Speed Most Wanted, where the goal of the game is to race against each other in hopes of becoming the #1 person on the Most Wanted List. The game is actually set in an open world and there is not pre-determined area where you are suppose to race; in this game you race where ever the hell you want to. EA did announce the release date for the game as October 30th for North America and November 1st in Europe. We will try to bring you more updates on E3 as they come.
