E3 2013: 4 Predictions That We Expect To Be True

4. Batman: Arkham 3

2671673-batman_arkham_asylu Rumours about Arkham 3 spread across the internet like an overly inquisitive badger across a motorway mere hours after the first people finished Arkham City, with every Tom, Dick, and Laura (€˜cos girls play video games too) posting their theories as to what joys the sequel might hold. Well now it seems we might be about to get some actual news. Multiple leaks, including a report saying the game will have a 2013 release and the purchase of a fair few Batman related urls, all point towards an announcement being made. Considering the marketing campaign City boasted (its first trailer was released around a year before the game hit the shelves) the only logical explanation for there yet to be big reveal for Arkham 3 is if they€™re saving it for E3. But why wait until E3 2013 if they€™re releasing in the same year? Well, dear reader, this is where it gets interesting. For Rocksteady to hold back this long it shows they must be pretty confident in what they have up their sleeves to keep City€™s high sales figures as, even though its predecessor remains one of the highest rated games on PS3, even a perfect title needs a certain amount of hype if it wants to sell into the millions. That pretty much only leave one possibility: Arkham 3 is going to be a launch title. Now I know I€™m putting myself out there by saying that, but if it really is going to be released this year there isn€™t really another possibility. Sony are clearly holding back for E3, not having even shown their full console yet, so is it really so ridiculous to think they€™re hiding news about the launch titles too? We€™ll have to wait and see.
