E3 2019: 7 Ups & 6 Downs From Microsoft's Conference

Downs...

6. No Halo Infinite Gameplay

As was widely expected, Microsoft provided fans with another glimpse of their upcoming new entry into the Halo franchise, Halo Infinite.

Yet despite the game first being announced at last year's E3, there was no actual gameplay to be seen, with Microsoft instead serving up six minutes of "game engine footage" (a vague term if there ever was one).

The effectively cinematic trailer showed an engineer rescuing Master Chief from space and bringing him back to life, but just as Chief prepares to lay some smack down, we cut to black.

Though Microsoft confirmed that the game will be a launch title for Project Scarlett, which isn't launching until roughly 18 months from now, it's still a shame that fans weren't given their first glimpse of what truly next-gen gameplay will look like.
