Gameplay
Of course, there is one huge addition to gameplay that we cannot ignore: for the first time ever, you can play TES with friends. This may sound a little obvious, but it will almost definitely be the main draw of the game, attracting and introducing many past MMO fans to TES lore.
Developers state that they want the game world to be the main concentration of the player, rather than the HUD. For that reason, the amount of information on-screen at any time has been reduced, and an emphasis has been shown on making combat feel as real-time as possible. Depite this, I see the gameplay to be painfully similar to any other MMO. As one Elder Scrolls fan said:
“We dont want to play WoW with a TES mod. We want first person combat, we want the game to be like all the other TES games. We dont need another WoW clone, we need a multiplayer version of TES.”
Character Customization
The pride and joy of many TES games is to be able to customize your characters to the point that every player has a completely different character. To many fans’ relief, this feature returns with TES Online. Although there will be specific classes for players to choose, abilities and perks are generally available to every character archetype (just at different points). The player chooses which abilities to assign to his charater, allowing players the traditional TES freedom.

I completely agree. Id even go as far to say that a TES MMO is a COMPLETE waste of time and money. Not because it will be bad, but because it will be an MMO with a TES tag on it. I think time and money would better be spent on adding a 4-player drop in drop out co-op feature to a dlc pack with some cool, sprawling dungeons to loot and quest in with your buddies. Keep all the usual aspects of TES intact. TES has always been about detail, not simply JUST a sprawling scale. The world is epic and huge, but it is very detailed, very specific, and thats what makes TES games great. In an MMO, that detail is lost to make it possible to run with a sprawling world full of players. I would love to explore Second Era Tamriel, but not like that. I want all the detail, the lore, the epic, realistic, grandiose, power metal anthem worthy scenery, monstrous beasts, devestating weapons, and first person combat. They should truly scrap the MMO idea altogether.
Exactly where I was going. With TES, more of the same is never a bad thing. Changing it too much means they’re just taking risks, and an MMO is one big risk that likely isn’t going to pay off .
umm zenimax online is developing this, bethesda isn’t making it. so your complaints are unfounded
