Every September 2019 Video Game Ranked By Anticipation

FIFA, Borderlands, Gears, Zelda, which major title will take top spot this month?

Borderlands 3
Gearbox

We can safely see with this month, that video game Fall season is chugging full steam ahead. The quietness of summer is a thing of a past as gamers are getting pelted with a non-stop barrage of major titles throughout September.

Trends that are incoming are a flood of massive sports titles, with heavy hitters (e.g. FIFA) making their annual appearances. Plus, plenty of unorthodox and exciting indie games coming to both PCs and consoles. Then, of course, we have some major sequels arriving from franchisees that have laid dormant for far too long. It is a busy slate indeed, with so much to choose from, no matter what you're specific tastes, you are spoilt for choice.

The madness of the end of the year release calender is full upon of us, we're in the middle of the hurricane it seems, so let's enjoy the madness while it lasts and sift through the titles from worst to best...

39. Root Letter: Last Answer

Release Date: September 3

Platforms: PS4, PC

The visual novel genre has its fans (especially in Japan) but even if this niche genre speaks to your tastes, this specific title seems like quite low-hanging fruit.

Mixing basic anime animations with low-grade Full-Motion-Video really makes for a visually unappealing mix, with not much intrigue behind the story either. This looks to be a hard-sell, even for diehard fans of the genre.
