Fallout 4: 9 Insane Character Builds You Need To Try

9. The Ninja

When one makes a promise of 'Ninja builds' in the intro, then one is understandably expected to deliver on that as soon as feasibly possible.

Exciting though the prospect of playing a ninja may be, there are no throwing stars, nunchuks or grappling hooks in the wasteland, nor can you escape sticky situations in a cloud of smoke (at least there at stealth suits and swords).

The stealth-melee build ain't an easy one, but persevere through the early levels and you can end up having a great time. When creating your post-nuclear stealth assassin, you'll want to focus most of your SPECIAL attributes on Agility and Luck. Agility covers most of the stealthy perks, and you'll want to get Blitz as soon as possibly, which essentially teleports you towards enemies in VATS, ready to slaughter them up-close. You'll want to get the base Stealth perk up to 5 stars as soon as your level allows it.

Luck, meanwhile, gets particularly nifty for a ninja between levels 6 and 8, with some lethal Critical and VATS-focused perks. Make sure you have at least a couple of points in strength to get those early melee perks too.

Essential starting SPECIAL stats: 2 Strength 8 Agility, 8 Luck Essential perks: Blitz, Bloody Mess, Iron Fist, Big Leagues, Ninja, Better Criticals, Critical Banker, Sneak
