Fallout 4: All 5 Vault Locations & Their Creepy Backstories

5. Vault 95

Spend some time with your boisterous, drug-addicted companion Cait (she's quite lovely, really), and you'll eventually get wind of Vault 95. Tucked away in the south-west corner of the Boston wasteland, Vault 95 housed only people addicted to chems, with the seemingly benevolent goal of helping them recover from their addictions. After five years of helping the addicts recover and building up a close-knit community in the vault, a Vault-Tec agent was assigned to uncover a secret lifetime supply of chems stashed away inside. The idea was to explore the effect this would have on a population consisting entirely of recovered addicts. It won't surprise you to hear that things turned very nasty, very quickly for the poor vault-dwellers. Many succumbed to their addictions and got high immediately, locking themselves away in rooms and ODing. Based on your grim findings inside, the Vault-Tec agent died soon after bringing out the stash (a reasonable fate), but the community that the vault-dwellers had created tore itself apart because of the experiment. A grim end to what started off as an uplifting story of solidarity and recovery.
