Fallout 4: Bethesda Unveil First Trailer And Pre-Orders

Hype. Hype never changes.

Some 7 years after the third instalment took open-world, post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic gaming to heights most of us had merely dreamed of, Bethesda Studios have confirmed that, yes, there will be a Fallout 4. Better yet, it's going to be landing on X-Box One, Playstation 4, and PC in the very near future. Following yesterday's deliciously teasing reveal of a countdown clock, Fallout fans (or "everybody" as they're better known) had been glued to the developer's holding page on the promise of the 3pm reveal. Cometh the hour, cometh the first trailer, and the sight one of the series iconic Vault dwellers reliving the nuclear attacks that serves as the game's long-established premise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4 A full reveal will take place at Bethesda's annual E3 showcase on Wednesday 17 July. But fans are able to pre-order the title now from the website. For those uninitiated with the series, Elder Scrolls-developer Bethesda snapped it up from Black Isle Studios in 2007 for some $5.75m, and swiftly putt their own open world spin on proceedings to produce one of the best game franchises in history. You can argue it always had that stature, but with the expanded open-world gameplay Bethesda in bringing a truly unique world kicking and screaming into modern gaming.
