Fallout 4 Settlements: 14 Crucial Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You

13. Create Supply Lines To Share Resources Between Multiple Locations

Like in real life, quintessential resource management means knowing how to move quantities of stock in bulk, and in Fallout 4, there's only one way to tie your workbenches together across the Commonwealth - the 'Local Leader' perk. Found in the Charisma tree (you'll need to be level six), snapping up its first level will bring about a new option when you highlight settlers wandering around your homestead. Now you'll get the prompt to send them to a different location and establish a 'supply line' - connecting the contents of any workbench with another. The way this works is rather like the power cables you'll hook up to bring everything to life - so think of one settlement as a generator, and tell all your settlers from other areas to link back to it. This way, everything is shared from your 'master' settlement, but everybody else gets the benefit of the entire stock pool.
