FIFA 13: 13 Players Who Were Criminally Underrated

Thirteen players who were criminally underrated in Ea Sport's latest in the FIFA series.

When FIFA 13 launched in late September, EA Sports had a lot to live up to with their release of the twentieth game in the long running franchise. The demo had been downloaded a record 1.99 million times in just three short days, making the upcoming title the most fervently anticipated game to date. Selling more than 1 million copies in 48 hours, FIFA 13 was released to critical acclaim. However, no game is perfect, and there were niggles upon its launch - particularly with the revamped collision system which some criticised as being "unnatural". Also, as with all games released in the series, the player ratings were placed under intense scrutiny, with gamer's keen to see what rating their favourite players had been afforded. In a lot of cases, EA Sports actually did a pretty good job - as you would expect, Messi was afforded the highest rating in the game with a near perfect 96, which is pretty realistic considering hardly anyone is holding a candle to him at the moment as the diminutive Argentinian leaves all in his wake. On the other side of the scale though, there were certain players who were in fact underestimated, overlooked even, and afforded comparatively poorer ratings than realism dictates. Here, What Culture! examines 13 of the more under-appreciated players in the latest game of the series.
