FIFA 16: Women's Teams To Be Included

And the release date has been confirmed too.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siVeBCaYeko EA Sports have announced that women's football teams will feature on FIFA 16, the first time they have been included in the franchise's history. It's an enormous coup for the teams and players involved, with 12 nations set to take the stage when the game is launched on September 25th 2015 in the UK and September 22nd in the US. The game will feature: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States of America. They will be playable across several different FIFA 16 game modes including kick off, offline tournaments, and online friendlies, which proves that EA aren't looking for an entirely separate gimmick mode, they're making a genuine effort to integrate women's football into the fabric of the game.

However, fans won't be able to see the top sportswomen going toe-to-toe with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, as the women's teams will exclusively face other women's teams. EA Sports FIFA GM David Rutter said: €œBringing some of the best women€™s players and teams in the world to our franchise is a massive event for EA Sports, and we are equally excited about bringing millions of fans a new way to play. "We€™re making sure fans get an authentic experience when playing with Women€™s National Teams thanks to our innovative player capture and reference tools, as well as the sophisticated gameplay platform which we will continue to innovate on in FIFA 16.€ More information will be released in the run up to E3, where the game will be tried and tested between June 16-18 in L.A.
