FIFA 17: 10 Strongest Players

Adebayo Akinfenwa's on this list - of course he is, but does he retain his traditional top spot?

FIFA is about a lot of things - precision, guile, speed and strategy; sometimes, however, it's about hammering the biggest player on your team into a 50/50 challenge, and watching the other guy crumple helplessly to the turf.

EA have recently revealed the ten players with the highest strength rating in FIFA 17 - a stat not to be confused with the more visible physicality rating. While 'phys' covers a variety of attributes, including stamina and jumping ability, whereas strength is more centred around raw power.

Should you bolster your squad with one of the following players, you should have no problem holding up the ball, overpowering the opposition in challenges, and winning the majority of jostles.

Of course, strength is no indicator of overall talent (just ask the diminutive Lionel Messi), and this list features players from the glitz and glamour of the Premier League to the second tier of German football, from the bright lights of Dallas to the small Scandinavian town of Falkenberg.

10. Kendall Watson - Vancouver Whitecaps

Kendall Watson isn't the highest-rated player on this list, but boy is he a beast. The 6'5" Costa Rican centre back has been a mainstay in the Vancouver Whitecaps side for two seasons now, and is one of the most popular defenders in the MLS. He was even selected as an All-Star earlier this year.

Although not the youngest at 28, there's still room for Watson's career to grow. He only has a handful of caps for his national side, and will surely be looking to make more of an impression in the Costa Rica set-up as his domestic career continues to blossom.
