FIFA 19: 10 Criminally Underrated Players

FIFA 19 is here and the latest instalment proves EA still can't get some players right!

FIFA 19 is here and, as always, we've had more than enough time to appreciate all of the good and the bad the game has to offer.

From the divisive new shooting mechanics to the fun new Kick-Off modes, poorly ageing Career Mode to the mediocre finale of The Journey; FIFA 19 has proven to be a middling entry in the series. Beyond the gameplay and features, one area we can always expect to be quite maddening, is player ratings!

All fans want their teams players to be higher rated than they actually are. In many instances though, that in fact should be the case. FIFA 19 is no different than its predecessors, in that it favours big name players like Ronaldo, Neymar, Messi, and Pogba, over equally quality players from smaller clubs.

The ten players on this list represent Electronic Arts Canada's misguided judgements in regards to top-class players from all over the world. Some of these players would have to bribe someone to get the rating they deserve, or at least start styling their hair like they're an extra in Fury Road.

10. Andrew Robertson - 81

The Liverpool left-back is arguably first or second in the Premier League in his position, yet he holds a mere 81 in FIFA 19. The other best left back in the league, Man City's Benjamin Mendy, also holds an 81, so perhaps EA just don't care for left-backs.

Alberto Moreno had failed to impress over the course of three seasons at Anfield, so much so that Jurgen Klopp turned to midfielder James Milner to plug the hole in the defence. Then Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017 and almost immediately established himself as the left-back solution the Reds had been searching for.

Since then, Robertson has created seven assists and one goal for Liverpool, and endeared himself to the fans with his tireless work rate, humble attitude, and defensive abilities. He's undeniably one of the Premier League's best left-back's and an 81 in FIFA 19 is no representative of that.
