FIFA 20: 10 Players That Will Be Ridiculously Overrated

10. Diego Godin

Godin is one of those players who has been around a very long time, and been consistently rated in the 90's. He's an incredibly talented defender who made 277 appearances for Athletico Madrid, many as captain, and helped the team catapult to one of the best in La Liga.

Godin consistently proved himself as one of the best defenders in the world, not just the Spanish first division. In 2019 he made a move to Inter Milan on a three year deal. At the age of 33, the move was a little surprising, but it was a free move, so it wasn't much of a risk for Milan.

That said, when you take a step back and look at Godin's performances on the pitch and his stats, his standard 90 rating in FIFA is starting to look extremely generous. Godin has been a mainstay of Madrid and Argentina for a decade, but his best days are definitely behind him. He's not on the level of people like Virgil Van Dijk, yet he's higher rated, and that's something that needs to change but definitely won't in FIFA 20.
