Final Fantasy XV: 5 Awesome Things (And 5 That Suck)

Do you remember the last time you were excited about a Final Fantasy game? Chances are if you're a nineties kid it's been exactly that long - although despite some horrific voice acting and a plot that went everywhere and nowhere at the same time, FF X was still jaw-droppingly fantastic. Since then it's been weird half-sequels, iterations on the core gameplay that didn't feel natural and some online-only entries only the most dedicated of fans sought out. However, for those middle-children fans (otherwise known as the vast majority) who came on board with Final Fantasy VII and hopped off following X, there's a magical association with the series forever waiting to be tapped back into. So, does FF XV finally get things right? Well, yes and no - but mostly the former, although when things line up it's a yes of almighty proportions where Bahamut himself would be dragon-fist punching the sky in celebration. However, as the current build of Final Fantasy XV - a demo included only with Type-0 for now - is pretty rough around some otherwise gorgeous edges, it's worth tempering your expectations whilst being forever optimistic Square can finally deliver something spectacular again.
