Football Manager 2015 Tips: 10 Ways To Guarantee World Domination

10. Ignore Everything Your Assistant Says

In an ideal world, your Assistant Manager would be a help rather than a hindrance; he should be your right hand man, offering a bridge between the squad and the management and offering tips targeted at improving specific skills in individual players, or adopting them to benefit the first team. In reality, the Assistant is an annoyance. He can be set up to take control of training (a sure-fire way to keep your squad happy), to answer press conferences (a mercy for those who hate that side of the game) and take control of friendlies. These are good aspects. Where it goes wrong is when he tries to advise things: if you paid attention to everything the Assistant suggests during the match you'd change your entire game plan every few seconds. You'd play long balls with Messi in your team, you'd cross more with no heading striker: he plays the numbers but not the men. And worst of all, he suggests team meetings where there is literally no positive outcome: seriously, just ignore them, you won't annoy anyone that way.
