3. Historical Challenges
FM Classic includes standalone scenarios for players to tackle outside of the core game. These 'Challenges' task players with everything from winning the league with a squad of kids, to guiding an underdog to top-flight safety.
Challenges would be a neat addition to the main game, but rather than throwing budding managers into made-up scenarios, why not allow them to take on real-life historical challenges, complete with full databases from bygone ages?
How cool would it be to manage England during the 1966 World Cup and attempt to emulate the great Alf Ramsey? Or perhaps, at club level, you could take the helm at Leeds United in the early 2000s and attempt to prevent the club's collapse, fighting impeding relegation as well as financial turmoil off the pitch.
These are just two of many potential scenarios from the annals of football history than Football Manager 2019 players could tackle. The inclusion of historical databases would allow wannabe managers to take the helm at some of the best teams of all time... or if you're up for a real challenge, some of the worst.
