For Honor: 10 Gameplay Features Ubisoft Didn't Tell You About

9. An In-Depth Single Player Campaign

Relatively little is still known about the single player campaign other that it will feature and that it will cover all three of the factions, with the player taking on the role of Viking, Knight or Samurai at some point. The story will take place across a range of locations and countries, as well.

Ubisoft have promised that the single player campaign will be fully fleshed and enjoyable as to warrant full price for the game, even if you never want to play online – though they have stopped short of saying how long the campaign will last.

The gameplay that has been released looks pretty, in environments similar to those of the multiplayer maps. The standard soldiers that fight alongside you and the heroes of the enemy appear to just be there to meet the sharp end of your sword, spear or axe, being about as threatening as the typical soldiers from the Dynasty Warriors games.

Fortunately, as determined from the open beta, the enemy AI of the opposing heroes can be quite challenging, so even the story campaign should feel less like simple button-bashing and more like tactical sword fighting, similar to the recently released Nioh.
