Forza Horizon 4 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

Time to dust off your Xbox One.

The long-awaited Forza Horizon 4 is out now, and Playground Games has once again delivered a one-of-a-kind racer that effortlessly blows its meagre competition out of the water.

It's certainly not perfect - though what game is? - yet as a gorgeously designed, insanely addictive racer like rarely seen, it truly is a high-point for the genre this generation, if not beyond.

Furthermore, with the game being part of Microsoft's brilliant Xbox Game Pass initiative, you don't even need to shell out full whack to play it: for a few cursory bucks you can start cruising around the game's inexplicably beautiful rendition of the United Kingdom.

Though October is a ridiculously crowded month for AAA games of all kinds, you absolutely shouldn't sleep on this genre and generation-defining effort that gives the Xbox One a much-needed console exclusive barn-stormer.

Before we start foaming over its many brilliant features, though, here are some minor gripes to consider...
