In an attempt to further drum up interest in GTA V, Rockstar are to port their 2001 smash hit game Grand Theft Auto 3 and its almost 10 year old cousin Vice City to the PlayStation Network! American ratings board the ESRB have recently re-listed both titles (rated M - or Mature for those outside of the US) for PS3 (check it out here disbelievers) fueling speculation that the games will become available on a proper console once more. We have however, been through this before... the games appearing earlier this year on the same list, so we would advise cautious optimism on this one. GTA 3 has recently been ported to a hand full of mobile devices and while it is kind of fun, it lacks the involvement of the original full screen titles - not to mention the often awkward controls, so it would be great to get hold of it again with a proper controller in hand to drive around the old Liberty City in a Stinger that I just stole from a Yakuza. Ah good times. Logic is against this being an HD remake of the originals, because they could almost certainly squeeze some proper cash out of that - Silent Hill HD style, of which we should not speak again. But, crappy old PS2 graphics or not, this goes on the to buy list if it actually does have the decency to show up this time. After all, what else are we going while we wait for GTA5 to show up, play something new? Hardly. For more textual "entertainment" from this author, check out this
