GTA V: 10 Incredible Things We Learned From The Achievement List

GTA V

As if it seemed like the buzz surrounding the impending release of GTA V couldn't get any louder, the achievements list for the game leaked over the weekend, providing us with even more insight into how the final product is shaping up. Though 11 of the 49 achievements remain secret - presumably because they contain spoilers - the 38 that we've been allowed to view clarify a few things about the tone of the game, and also the multitude of awesome new features set to appear in the much-anticipated online mode. We're down to less than a month before GTA V comes out, and while we can expect gameplay videos to start leaking out in the next 2 weeks (as the game will likely go gold at the start of September), for now we'll have to contend with poring over morsels such as this. Here are 10 things we learned from the leaked achievements list...

10. There's A Spaceship

CORRECT SIZE ID4 Spaceship Over City There's an achievement in GTA V called "From Beyond the Stars", which asks you to "collect and return all spaceship parts". Easily the most eye-catching of all the achievements listed, this has already sparked fervent debate online as to whether players will have some sort of alien encounter in GTA V, or whether the achievement is more tongue-in-cheek. There are a number of likely possiblities, namely that the spaceship parts have to be returned to the Epsilon Program, the religious cult that was first introduced to the series in GTA: San Andreas, or that the parts just function as this game's equivalent of hidden packages. Of course, it's possible that returning all the parts could result in the player receiving a spaceship to fly around Los Santos, though given how more serious and "realistic" the series has opted to be since GTA IV, this isn't especially likely (unless Rockstar have heard the criticisms and intend to act on them).
