10. It’ll Break Franchise Sales Records
The GTA franchise already has an unbelievably impressive track record in pre-orders and sales as it is. The best performer of course was San Andreas, which, as of April this year, boasts a staggering 22.76 million units sold. Vice City trails closely behind with 20.71 million and GTA IV isn’t that far behind in third place with 18.51 million (source: VGChartz).
But with GTA V’s unbelievable hype, Rockstar’s clever drip-feed marketing strategy, and with so many monitoring the GTA franchise so vehemently, it seems to me that this next release is going to be big. My prediction, in fact, is that GTA V will shatter all previous records for the series, and stand victorious as Rockstar’s highest selling title in the franchise to date.

It’s pretty obvious that R* should be sitting with egg on their faces. No one waits a year to offer anything. Somewhere something went major wrong. No doubt that they shouldn’t have released the first trailer on October 29 last year. The game has probably evolved to look nothing like the trailer… It’s pi**ing me off.
This game is highly anticipated, which is good. I’m looking
forward to the huge bold new story, and the customization. I
hope there will be multiple use of characters in the game, so
you don’t get easily bored with one guy the whole time.
I’m hoping they include the car customization as well, where
you can take it to a garage and give it a new look (similar to
Mafia II).
I want the ability to pump gas when the car runs low on fuel,
and instead of carjacking someone over and over again, the player
can purchase expensive cars.
but the game is called ‘Grand Theft Auto’, so why should you want to buy cars legally when you play it?
you can have it both ways.
Stuart comes down a little on GTA IV, but for me and folks I know, it was Nico’s consistently miserable outlook that put a cloud over that game rather than increased realism. If I want to revisit IV’s Liberty City, then it’s Episodes that I pick up, not the main game.
There is plenty of gaming goodness in IV, if overshadowed by Nico’s doom-laden mood, and I reckon we’ll see familiar GTA IV features in GTA V. Inevitably we’ll be given SA ingredients too, and I think the blend will be a good one. I’d guess that GTA V will not be alien to us in terms of style, but the scale of Los Santos, the scope of our interaction, and the enduring side missions and activities will surprise.
Just some thing i would like to see in GTA V. Reply if you agree. Parking lots 90% full not 90% empty. Police, taxi, fire etc missions to come back. Car mods like San Andreas. Gambaling. Property buying. Police clothes to be a fake officer like Vice City. And the army, where did this go ? I want to roll down the street as a fake officer in a tank with police cars by my side or hot on my tail. Transport trucks, monster trucks bulldozers etc. And missions that are actually good ones. Basically all the good things of GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV all mixed in to GTA V.
You are wrong.. according to the latest figures Grand theft Auto IV has sold 22 million copies*. Realism will and always be the way forward..we wouldn’t wanna buy a Saint’s Row titled as GTA V. Arcade Vs Realism… Realism is the winnerand btw everyone can make an unrealistic game with crazy stuff going on… but nailing the realism is the real challenge! Those developers who cannot do it names it a “fun game”. I respect that R* are freaking bold to have attempted it and nailed it as well!!!

Even in 2001-2004 the GTA 3 era was pretty realistic compared to most games that we’re out at the time.
Predictions that MAY come true ,for me they arent gonna happen. This article is wrong.
