Undoubtedly, even now, with Rockstars upcoming GTA title still an indeterminate amount of time away, its already part of the modern cultural zeitgeist. Its controversial, and it causes fervent discussion, not just amongst fans of the series, but amongst protest groups, concerned parents, school teachers and its even mentioned regularly in high news publications. And you know, they say that any publicity is good publicity; R* have been fortunate to have created a game thats risen so smoothly to the tippy-top of this cultural zeitgeist, and undoubtedly, thats one of the major reasons its so immensely hyped.
