GTA V: 10 Reasons Why It Might Not Be Awesome
10. No PC Version
This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to long set in fans of the series, but Rockstar are yet to announce a PC version of the game. Since the series went 3D, PC only gamers have been stuck waiting almost a year longer than their console owning counterparts for their GTA fix.
It says more about the transition of gaming than anything else. When GTA first kicked off, it was a PC only title, but the big success came with its sequel, which premiered on the Dreamcast and PlayStation as well as computer. Slowly, as gaming has become a bigger, more mainstream pursuit, serious computer gaming has become the niche only true gaming geeks bother with.
Going back to GTA V, however, theres still a market out there and the mod videos on YouTube that you could spend countless playthroughs watching tend to come from this platform. However, Rockstar's previous hit, Red Dead Redemption, is still to make it to PC, leading us to worry if this time around, GTA will ever make the jump. And if it doesn't, theres a key market (and promotional tool) cut out.
